But in reality, the government still has to attract talent to fill government jobs, pay that talent, and use scarce resources. If it tries this *without* the error-correction mechanisms the free market provides, it will do anything poorly.

But in reality, the government still has to attract talent to fill government jobs, pay that talent, and use scarce resources. If it tries this without the error-correction mechanisms the free market provides, it will do anything poorly.
